The Descendants of Korean War Foundation (DKWF) is proud to announce the launching of “The Gift of Music” project. Based on interviews with Korean War veterans through our History Project, many recalled how music helped them to endure and gave them strength to overcome fears and loneliness while they were at war.
Inspired by those stories, DKWF will host music recitals in honor of the Korean War veterans – as our gift to them – as we remember and thank them for their sacrifices.
DKWF anticipates the recitals be annual and the first is planned for year 2025. DKWF also anticipates the recital will be free for all to attend.

DKWF is also seeking corporate sponsors, as well as donations from the general public. Funds received will support the DKWF scholarship program for the descendants of Korean War veterans.
