PRESS RELEASE – Washington DC

NEVER FORGOTTEN

A Wall of Remembrance including the names of the 36,595 American servicemen and 7,174 Korean Augmentation to the United States Army soldiers who gave their lives defending the people of South Korea has been built as an addition to the Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington DC. The Wall of Remembrance will always remember the families of the United Nations volunteers, and fulfills the promise we made to them, that we will never forget the souls who gave the ultimate sacrifice and remind us all that freedom is not free. The Executive Board of Descendants of the Korean War Foundation (DKWF) thanks the members of Korean War Veterans Memorial Foundation, National Park Service, the people of the United States of America, and the Republic of Korea for building the Wall of Remembrance.
